I’m Anthony Prosceno - a newscast producer from Cody, Wyo. but currently living in Austin, Texas. I graduated from Arizona State University in the spring of 2017, studying journalism with a focus in newscast producing. I also specialized in business journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and I received a Bachelor's degree while studying American 20th Century history in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
I currently work for Fox 7 Austin, producing their 6 pm newscast. Before that, I produced a variety of dayside and nightside shows and managed reporters at my previous news station in Colorado Springs, KKTV. My role at Fox 7 Austin includes developing the 6 pm show and expanding our newsrooms coverage. I write and add the latest information and breaking news, keeping shows fast paced and intriguing. I plan ahead, call sources, report on stories, book guests, and manage newscasts and breaking news from the control room. While I create informative and exciting newscast, I also have experience producing multimedia and digital content to inform the public as quickly as possible, which includes writing stories for online, posting on social media, and sending push alerts to notify viewers of stories online and on air. I'm a journalist at heart and will investigate stories from time to time that create change, (https://www.kktv.com/content/news/Call-for-Action-Social-media-accounts-blocked-by-city-departments-484549561.html). I've been in the news industry as a professional for several years; however, I've been reporting for most of my life. Before college I produced my high school’s tv news magazine. In college, I helped create brand new shows and content with the Walter Cronkite Sports Network, an award-winning student-run sports news publication. I covered several sports teams for the group, and I reported on news stories for several other publications to become a well rounded journalist before graduating. This experience lead to receiving national recognition as a finalist for the sportscast "Cronkite Sports Live" from the College Sports Media Awards, which I was the executive producer of as a sophomore in 2015. I enjoy covering business, political and sports news. Outside work, I enjoy skiing, golfing, playing several other sports and fantasy football. Thanks for reading this far.
